TEAM AWESOME... Packed up and ready... we think so... YES:)
WOW! what an adventure this has been for each of us. The day has finally arrived and we are each ready to depart on "Our Great American Road Trip"...
"Team Awesome" (a.k.a.) Michelle, David and Shogan was born from a conversation we shared seven months ago, a conversation which ended in each of us saying "why not", we're awesome, let's just do it! So here we are! These last months of preparation have been extraordinary in that we have each had to clear away the time for our journey, plan and train and plan and train.... lists grew and more lists were born and in the process we morphed and mapped a route which suited us all perfectly.
In the end we will travel through 15 states and ride more than 4,000 miles. We will experience America and one another with a clarity and presence for which we all feel blessed!
The support we have received has been AMAZING! Family, friends, our communities, and numerous random strangers have contributed to each of us with their encouragement, enthusiasm, time and hospitality! And so we say THANK YOU to our families and friends and our communities as we head out to experience Our Great American Bike Ride!
Team Awesome Loves You!
Tomorrow April 1st Day 1: Departing Oceanside Pier, ride 60+(ish) miles, 3000 ft elevation, Goal 2-3 to Joshua Tree, ...check :)
